Send customers personalized text messages related to their jobs based on predetermined triggers within the Automation Manager. Text automations require the Text Messaging Add On.
How to:
Hover over the Tools menu and choose Automation Manager.
Click Add Automation in the upper right
Step 1 is where you will select a Trigger. Choose a trigger from the list of provided options: Job, Milestone, Orders, or Financial.
Once you select a trigger, you will get additional options to choose WHEN the trigger should be tripped. Make a selection and click Next.
Select any conditions that may apply to this automation, such as Insurance vs Retail or trade specific. The automation will only fire for jobs that meet this criteria. If Insurance is selected, the automation will not fire for a Retail job and vice versa. The default is to apply to any job, work, or trade type. Click Apply.
Step 2 is where you will select which action you would like to take. Choose Text
First choose who you want to send the text message to. Use the blue address book to choose from Job Contacts, Location Users, or Vendors. Make a selection and click Apply.
Enter your message in the text box. Use dynamic tags to add personalization, such as Primary Contact Name, Initial Appointment Date and Time, etc...
Check the orange box to choose a user to be notified if a reply is received through this automation. Again, use the blue address book to choose from Job Contacts or Location Users.
If the recipient cannot receive the text message, you can choose to send an email instead or take no action. If you choose to send an email, you will need to choose who the email will come from and input a subject line. The message will be the same as the text message you input above.
Click Preview to see a sample of what your message will look like. If you’re satisfied with the result, click Next.
Select your timing. Immediately will send the text message as soon as the trigger from Step 1 is tripped. Send everything once a day will send all text messages once per day at a designated time that you choose from the drop down menu. Make a choice and click save.
Step 3 is turning the automation on. Once on, the next job that meets the predetermined criteria will receive the text message
